Potpourri is the perfect way to add some coziness and warmth to your home.

Home is my personal haven-a place where I can relax and unwind, to just be myself. Firstly, I have to try and keep it clean and tidy which is not always easy to do, but once the apartment is nice looking enough, I like to add special touches throughout the apartment with flowers, decorative candles and other beautiful things.

My apartment is not big so I don't really need much. In fact, decorating with too many things becomes clutter. I change things around to reflect the changing seasons and this includes my potpourri selection. As we're in the middle of fall here in Tokyo, I wanted something that would add some coziness and warmth in my apartment.

The Perfect Potpourri Blend for Any Season

I am very picky when it comes to potpourri. There are many to choose from and to be honest, a lot of them are just not that good. Fragrances that smell artificial are the worst for me and if they are artificially colored as well, I have no choice but to throw them away. So I was pleasantly surprised when I opened up this beautiful package of heavenly-smelling potpourri-a gift I received from a friend.

I love the blend of orange and tangerine and even includes handmade flowers to create an elegant display. It's just a pretty amazing package of potpourri.

The Many Uses of Potpourri

So I opened up my box of potpourri and tried to think of ways I could use them. A small vase filled with the fragrant cones and wooden pieces of this potpourri added a sense of calm to my bathroom. I filled a shallow glass bowl with them and placed it at the entrance of my apartment. It is amazing to be greeted by the woodland scents as soon as you open the door. When my mother comes to visit me next time, I'll definitely have a bowl of some of this potpourri on the table next to her bed. As she's not a fan of overly scented things, I think she would love it!

One of my favorite scents when it comes to potpourri. The combination of bitter orange and cedar scents has the ability to instantly relax my nerves. The perfect gift for anyone.

This is an easy way to use potpourri. Hanging satchels in your close will keep your closet smelling fresh. They also make nice little gifts as well.
